The School of Nursing at Arnot Health offers professional nursing students a carefully planned program of studies designed to prepare graduates for careers in registered professional nursing. Located at Elmira, New York, on the campus of Arnot Ogden Medical Center, the School of Nursing offers a range of resources to students. Curriculum options are available to you through the School of Nursing. You may study for a Diploma in Nursing. Briefly, the curriculum rotations available are : * Full-Time Study: Six 13-week and three 9-week terms within three academic years lead to a Diploma in Nursing * Part-Time Study: Part-time study, for the first two years of the planned program followed by two years of full-time study, leads to a Diploma in Nursing. * LPN Track: Full- or part-time study developed specifically for the licensed practical nurse desiring career advancement to an RN level. The School of Radiologic Technology offers you two curriculum choices. You may complete requirements for a Certificate in Radiologic Technology (Track I), or pursue both the Certificate and the General Studies associates in Applied Science Degree through Corning Community College (Track II). No matter which option you choose, you'll be required to take the Orientation to Biology Laboratory and two semesters of Anatomy and Physiology at Corning Community College. Lectures are given in Elmira. Lab sections are given on the Corning Community College campus. Students who elect to receive the associate's degree will be required to take twenty-one additional credit hours over the twenty-four month term of study in the School to meet degree requirements. These credit hours give you additional background in interpersonal communication, psychology, sociology and other disciplines. It is an option unique in a hospital school of radiologic technology.
